Traffic in Broadway was paralysed this morning for a time, when a.ram took possession of Stratford's wain street, charging all and sundry, reports the "Post" of Saturday. Th animal first took exception to the county ranger, and, liko ■Mary's "lamb,"'followed him' into Broadway. .Running'into a butcher's shop, it sniffed the carcasses with obvious disapproval, and then returned to tho street to 'ohass a small boy. Thcrelit noticed its 'reflection in a jeweller's window, and onlookers qannot yet explain just how it was that the charge did not break the window. 'Catching sight' of tho ranger, the ram dodged and ran info tho County Hotel. A valiant porter seized/a broom, but the ram bowled him ovwliko a ninepin. Then his lordship took a breathing Fpell, surveying Stratford from tho Post Office steps. A few seconds later and tho County Hotel.was again raided, nnd out of tlie front door rushed another inmate, flic, ram maintaining a very good second place.. Finally, tho ranger and the borough inspector got, a ropo and towed the conqueror to the pound. Not to l>e denied, however, he budged from 'Micro as from his owner's placo, and .when last seen was chasing small boys with' unabated vigour.; /■/'.
