I (B7 TclesraDh.— Press Association.) Pahiatua, February i. ' A. largely-attended meeting was held in .Pahiatua last night, when an address was delivered by Mr. A. Paape, 1 secretary of tho New Zealand Sports Protection league. Mr. Paape stated that t\ie league now had 70,000 members. A strong branch wa9 formed hero. A resolution was passed reminding the Government of tho great injustice done to Pahiatua by depriving it of its Racing Club's permit, and urging that legislation bo brought down next session to remove -. tho ' present anomaly. ■
