BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
Sir,—Mr. C. J. Cooke is quite, right when ho says "to set the State schoolteachers to teach the ordinary Protestant theology would bo a monstrous injustice to those who do not accept that theology." It is for this reason that many thousands havo joined forces with, tlio Bible-in-Schools League, because, the platform of-ill© leamio provides that neither tho teaching'of "Protectant theology," nor any other theology, will bo permitted to tho teachers. The "Jew, Unitarian, Eo'raan Catholic, and others" -ho speaks about find their place as teacher and taught in ' the • Australian schools,, and will find similar places in our schools after this .amendment is secured. Mr. Ccoko apparently has not yet mastered the foundation prinpiples of/the movement ; so ho and.other waverers.had bptter come to the Town Hall, though they must go e.irly if they want.to get a seat, on Tuesday evening next and hear all about it.—l am, etc.,- ;'..• - - A SYMPATHISER. February' 3.
