There was a good demand for shorn lambs and weaners, but other 'classes of cattle were dull of sale. Quotations: Medium shorn lamba, 75.-1d.,t0 7s. 6d.; good, Bs. 3d. to 95.; woancra, small, 155.; woanor steers, 255. 6d.; wearer heifers, to £2.

There was a largo muster of buyers from tho Main Trunk line, Apiti, Dannevirke, and locally. The weancrs were as a whole, a good lot, and competition was keen throughout, very' few lines (these being of inferior duality) beme turned out unsold.
