STEAMER BLOWN ASHORE. \

Brisbane, January 81. The steamer Innaminoka, 2501 tons, belonging to'the AdelaidoSteamship, Comply, is fast ashore on tho Alexandra* Reef, 25 miles north of Cuirns. She was bound from Cairns to Melbourne,- but was .blown. out of 1 her' course by the cyclone. ' '.i''C' l ' 1 '

i Tho postmaster has recoived a telegram from Port Douglas Stating that it is probable tho' vessel will bo refloated without damage. '
Communication with Cairns is : interrupted. '
The officers and'crew, on board the Innamincka number, fifty-six. '
TELEPHONE WIRES FUSED,
Sydney, January 31. Thero haa been a heavy thunderstorm and hurricane at Glen Innes. The rainfall will benefit the crops, ( . y During a dust thunderstorm at Armldale the telephone wires were fused. In one residenco tho' inmates 'recoived a shock.
Other districts report severe thunder and lightning following the! heat wave.

Adelaide, January 81. disturbances are reported at Port Darwin, accompanied by heavy rain.
