REPLY TO SIR GEORGE REID, • By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright London, January 80. The Colonial Butter Committee has cabled its principals ns follows, in connection with Sir Georgo Read's recent reports on unscrupulous practices in tho trndo:—
"Sir George Reid refuses to cable tho committee's commentary on his reports. Ho offers to mail it without endorsement, Ho admits the reports were prepared for him, but declines to give tho writer's namo to substantiate tho charges. The butter agents aro arranging to interview Sir Geovge Reid to repudiate the general mis-statements."
