Wedding in St, Paul's. Yesterday afternoon the marriage took jlace in St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral of Miss Alice Wilmot Rawsou, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert. Rawson, fceatoun, and Mr. Francis Davison, of Lbwry Peaks, Amur!, Canterbury. The church had been decorated with white ilowers and foliage by the friends of the bride, and the service was conducted ,by tho Rev. Mr. Barnett, Mr. Parker playing the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, ivoto a graceful, gown of soft white satin, with Brussels lace draping the bodice. The court train, slung from the shoulders, was of ninoh, weighted at the foot with two flounces of Brussels lace. ■ Her long embroidered tiille veil was worn with a cluster of orange blossoms at each side of the head, and she carried a shower bouquet of White flowers and maidenhair foliage.
The bridesmaids were Miss Elsme Ward (chief). Miss Greta Ewen, and Miss Violet Davison, and little Beatrice Holmes, nieco of the bride, and Owen Knox held up the bride's train, The former nil wore frocks of pale blue satin, the draped overskirts opening over linderdresses of cream net. Tho large black velvet hats each had a crimson rose, and the bouquets were of crimson roses. Mr. Boys, of Chrislchurch, was the best man, and ; the groomsmen were Mr. T. Davison (Christchuroh) and Mr..Noel Ross, of Wellington. The bride's present from tho bridegroom was a diamond and pearl pendant on a platinum chain. To the chief bridesmaid was given a peridot necklace, arid i.to the other two .were given gold bracelets. The little trainbearer's also received presents from the bridegroom.: • '. \
Mrs. I?a>vson, the mother of the bride, wore a gown of green-grey chiffon, with a floral effect of pink ond mauve roses, and her black hat was trimmed* with pale pink feathers. Mrs. Davison, the mother of tho bridegroom, wore grey chiffon over mauve charmeuse, and a small black hat. Mrs. Mathew Holmes (tho bride's sister) was in a gown of pink crepe do chine, opening over a lace uhderdess./bands of shot pink and mauve silk bordering tho overr dress. The wide black hat had a long white droriping plume, tipped with brown, and little bunches of pink and mauve roses, and a bouquet of shaded sweet peas was carried. Mrs. Martin, tho bridegroom's sister, was in pale blue crepe de chine; ■-;■'■ ■ ■ | ' A reception was afterwards held at.thb residence of Mr.'and Mrs. Kawson, at Seatoun. Among those present at the wedding were Lady' Stout, •wearing' a dove grey satin costume, and white and black hat with' feathers; Lady Gibbcs, grey costume and floiul' toque; Mrs. Knox, deep! royal blue satin, with ninon overdress and large black.plumed hat; Mrs. Gillon, cerise satin, veiled with ninon and lace, and wide hat massed with shaded roses; Mrs. .Walter Blundell, black charmeuse, and black hat with touches ; of white; Mrs. George' Didsbury, black, with a black bonnet touched witli white; Miss Didsbury, oream voile frock, and black hat trimmed with biscuit-coloured tulle; Mrs. Hayward, mode.costume, and hat trimmed '•,with' shaded: amethyst" roses; ■ Miss Hay ward, pale,blue silk frock, and white hat with white feathers; Miss Janet Stout, pale hydrangea blue frock, and wido white hat with white plumes;. A Farewell Tea. Miss Molly Macintosh, who. is leaving ■Wellington on Friday lor Sydney, where her m'nrriago is to take place, was the guest of honour nt a tea which wns'giveu by Mrs. Knne on Tuesday afternoon at her residence in llal|\vell Street. Delicately shaded sweet peas decorated the (Irawinj; room and the dining room, where tea was served.
