A man has been fined 10s. for wounding a bird at a pigeon match, which fell out of bounds and was allowed to lie for fifteen minutes, the rules prohibiting shooters picking'Up birds out of bounds.'
The decision was based on the ground that the new Cruelty to Animals Act' penalises ill-troating of animals, and wounding constitutes ill-treating.
