Wedding In St. Mark's.

V quiet wedding took place ' in ■ St. Mark's Church, Dufferin Street, on Wednesday afternoon, January 15, when Mr. J. W. Gibb, of Picton, N.Z., was married to Miss E. E. Cock, of Melbourne, Victoria Tho ceremony was performed by. the Rev.' L. Fenn, and the bride was , given away by Mr, W. H. Madeley, of 'Wellington. Mr; Allan Morgan was best man, mid Miss Katie Low was the bridesmaul Sho >wore a frock of white spotted muslin, and white and piuk hat,'.and carried a bouquet of pink and heliotrope' sweet peas. The bride's bouquet was of white loses and sweet peas,: and her frock was of ivory orepe-de.chine,:trim-med with tiny buttons and silk fringe, and worn-with' a veil and orange blossoms. After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Madeley held a small reception at their house in Sussex Street.' Amongst the guest? was Mrs. Gibb, mother . of, the bridegroom. ■ Miss G. Shaw (New. Wedding in St. Peter's,

'A pretty Wedding , took place-in St. Peters Church on Monday, when Mr. F. W. Harrup, of. "Wellington,; was married to Miss Lillian H. Tilbury, third dniigh- v ter.'of Mr. George Tilbury, of Dnnodin. Tho Rov. W. Kaino conducted' the service. '■ The bride, who was given away by Mr. 11. Vnughan Walton, wore a gown of soft .white satin, trimmed with beautiful lace and oranec blossoms. Her yeil was of Brussels not, lent by a very old'friend. She also wore a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white flowers.

Tho bride was- attended by her sister; Miss Alice Tilbury, and Miss Doris liarrop, sister of the bridegroom, who wore pretty frock's of white , voilo and largo white tagol hats, trimmed with tulle. They carried bouquets of sweet peas and roses. Mr.-J. M'Eldowney, of Wellington, was best man. At the ceremony a reception was held at Godbor's, "Courtenuy Place, when about 50 guests sat djwn to the breakfast. Mrs. Harrop, mother of' tho bridegroom, who received the guests, woro a gown of black satin, trimmed with beautiful lace, and a, block hat, trimmed ■'with pretty white laco and feathers. -After the breakfast, Mr. and Mrs. Harrop left for tho north by motor, tho bride wearing a navy tailored costumo and hat to match.

Wanganul Notes,

Mrs. C. Duignn, who has boon visiting her daughter,, Mrs. Ostlor, in Wellington, has returned to Wanganui, accompanied by herdaughter, Mrs. Ortler. ;Mr.- and Mrs. o.' Ares have returned to 'the Bungalo, Castlecliff. The matron of tho Wanganui Orphanago and her charges returned to Wiueanui on Saturday. While at Castlecliff Mr. Suisted, of the Suisted Picture entertainment, treated them all to freo passes, and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Sampson , (chief postmaster, Wingnnui), returned to their lioiim on Monday, having spent, an enjoyable holiday ,at the beach. Mrs.. Fred btiisted, nho won the prizo for selling most tickets for tho garden fete at Wanganui, has donated it to the Beautifying Society.

Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick, of Ormondville, aro at Wcstbourne beach.

Mrs.- IK B. Carrick and family have returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs.; Leyland, Mrs.. Wesley Spragg, and Miss Campbell left Wellington y»ilerday by motor-car for Auckland. Miss Gray (Taratahi) is staying at tho Windsor Hotel. v Miss O. M. Stanford (Now Plymouth) is leaving, at tho cild of the jveek, for Singapore, where her marriage to Mr. Hugh Wilson, of tho Eastern Extension 'Electric Telegraph, Company, son of Mr. Henry Wilson, of Palmerston North, is to tako place. Mr. J. C. Macky: (Auckland), Mrs. and Miss D. Macky, sail from Wellington on Thursday by the Athenic for London.

Mr. and Mrs. Whitoly,, who arrived in Wellington by the Corinthic, and Mr. and Mrs. tjohnstone (North Canterbury),'who were in town.to meet Mr. and Mrs. Wh'itely, left for the south last evening.
