FARMERS INSURANCE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Palmerston, January 20. . A meeting was held to-day by the Wellington Provincial Farmers' Union Mutual Fire Insurance Society. Tho business report showed that' iEIfI.GOO worth of proposals had been received since October 10.' The total insurance risks now amounted to ,£201,500.\ No claims for fires had been received last quarter, and only .£2OO had been paid out since the beginning of tho financial year on April 1. A. marked increase in the support by farmers had been shown, and tho report stated the success of "Farmers' Mutuals" in New Zealand was an assured fact.
