CAPITAL ENTRIES. . PRIZE-TAKERS AND REMARKS. The third annual show of tlio Wellington Canary and Cage Bird Club was opened by Councillor J. Fuller at the Vivian Street Skating Rink on Saturday afternoon. Compared with shows of previous years, this was an excellent display, and it indicates that, during the 1 last ytfar, the club has gone sensibly forward. Last jear 140 birds were shown, and this year there wero 31C entries, or 276 more than last year. The general condition of tho Birds was also much better, and in'several cases the exhibits were well nigh perfect. Experts state that, on the whole, it was one; of the best shows of its kind ever held in the Dominion. Mr. J. Fuller, in declaring the sliow open, stated that ho hoped that in the near future there would be a more suiti'uwj i' l Wellington for such exhibitions. He complimented the prizewinners, and congratulated tho club on 1 the progress made. ' In conclusion, ho .
