Sydney, January 19. Play Was continued yesterday in tho match between the British Isles lawn tennis team and the Australian representatives. ,The weather was bright and extremely tot. The attendance numbered 3500. .

Most of the interest centred in the meeting, of Brookes (Australia) and Pajka (British Isles)., Parke, at the 6tart, outplayed Brookes until the score stood at 5—2 in his favouri' Then after a great deal of amazingly-clever volleying >from both, Brookes recovered, and in fine stylo took four games in succession; making the soore 6—5 in his favour. Parke won tho next two games, Brookes securing the last three, and the . set, in 31 minutes.

Brookes beat Parke, 9—7, 6—2.
