At a meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council held last.cvoning the Mayor (Mr. H. W. Shortt) presided; and there were also'present: Councillors Button. Morris, Organ, Pilcher, HcJs, Eussell, and . AVills. . .■:'•■': ■'■.■ ' .'•'■' ''..:■ In reply to ft request by tho council that temporary premises at Bona ,Bayshould bo used exclusively as a post office, tho secretary of the L Deportment wrote stoting that' he considered the pre- . sent facilities wcro adequate. ,'\> " A statement submitted by tlio clerk in-7 dicatcd that at tho present timo therewere 271 buildings in the borough, the number including 205 inhabited dwellings.
