Tho North-Canterbury Motor Cyclists' Club's Reliability Trials, conducted on January Ist, 2nd, and 3rd last, provided in many respects the most severe testing ever given to motor-cycles in Now Zealand. The route on the first day was from Christohurch to Hamper, via Ashley Gorge, on tho 6econd ,day from Hannier to Christchurch via Choviot, and'on.tho third day from Christchurch to Akaroa and back. Tho total distance run was 892 miles. Tho trials wero admirably conducted, and tho strictest and keenest supervision was exercised. The otureo includod some of the worst hill country in Canterbury. Tho result of tho trials was a, complete vindication of our claim that the "Triumph" is the most reliable, most economical, and best all-round motor-oycio on tho Now Zealand or any other market. There was a big field of competitors, and nil leading makes of motor-cycles wero represented. ' This is the "Triumph" record in the trials:— Trade class: G. B'. Brown 1, H. E. Douglass 3, F. Haworth i, all on "Triumphs," Private Owners' Class: C. Bounington 1, on a "Triumph.", .Teams' Prize: G. B. Brown I,'H, E. Douglass'and F. Haworth 1, on "Triumphs." "Triumph" Cup, for tho most meritorious performance, - won for second time in succession h$ C. Bonnington,on "Triumph." winning cup outright. Lowest Petrol Consumption: G. B.Brown 1, 3 pints 30z.f0r521,1111103, on a "Triumph," You Bee that tho "Triumph" has won all tho first awards it could possibly win. There wero fivo "Triumphs" in the trials, and they climbed every hill without a single failure. G. l B. Brown missed full marks merely becauso two spokes of ono of his whoels wero brokon by a 6tonc, reducing' his score to 935 instead of 1000. For reliability, economy of petrol, for team work, and for work in tho hands of a privato owner, the tests havo again proved that the "Triumph" is the best. Prico—Fixed engine, £70, Free engine, £80.
