Potono Wedding. On Wednesday afternoon a popular wedding was celebrated, when Miss Mabel Garrett Dyke, "eldest daughter of Mrs. R. Hayward, Potone, was married to Mr. Arthur M'Ghie, fourth,son of Mr. and Mrs. B. M'Ghie, also of Pctone. Tho ceremony took place at the, Wesley Church (which.was beautifully decorated by the friends, of the bride), and the Eev. J. J. Lewis was the, clergyman. The bride, who,was given away by her brother, wore a dainty gown of white Duchess satin; trimmed with Oriental lace and pearls. She also, wore a .bridal wreath and veil, and carried a bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern. There were four bridesmaids: Miss Hcdvig Marshall (nieco of the bridegroom), Miss Ethel. Alexander, and the little-: Misses Doreen- M'Ghie (nieco of tho groom) and Eileen Andrews. The: two elder bridesmaids wore pretty creuie. crystalline dresses,' trimiried with white satin and all-over lace. The two : little bridesmaids wore white silk dresses, , trimmed with valenciennea lace, and silror' tissue caps. Mr. Smith was best man, 'mid Mr. J,'Chamberlain groomsman. - As tii'j bridal purty left the' church, the "Wedding March" was played. After the ceremony a reception was held at St. Augustine's Hall, where a number of toasts were honoured. Included in the, many beautiful presents was an opossfam rug from the groom's employers (Messrs. James Smith and Son), and a wicker chair from the employees. ' Mr. and Mrs. M'Ghie left for Auckland and Eotorua on Wednesday evening.
