Messrs. Dalgety and C 0,,. Ltd., report having held their usual stock sale at Dannevirko on January 10, when they offered 120 cattle and a, small yarding of-sheep to a large attendance of the public. Store cattlo and sheep woro slightly easier. Fat cows, £5 Bs. to £6 145.; fat heifers, £5 12s. 9d.; yearling i steers, £3 &3.;. Shorthorn heifers, £4 3s. 6d.; three-year, steers, £5 15s.;' weaner heifers, £1 125.; weaner. steers, £1 6s. Sheep: Four-tooth up to ' full-mouth ewes, with lambs, 125., all counted; aged storo owes, 95.; cull ewes, , 75.; fat. lambs, 13s. Id.- ■

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Levin on Friday wo had a very large entry of both sheep and cattle. All classes of sheep met with a- good demana and only two small lines went out unsold. Cattlo were rather dull of sale, but the greater portion of tho entry changed hands. ■Mr. Newton King's weekly report state 3: —On Friday, January 3, I had a fair entry in my liahotu Yards, and, considering the sale being held on on .off day, there was a good attendance of buyers. Competition throughout was very keen, all stock selling at. advanced rates, as follow:—Grade 15, to 18-months heifers, from £3 7s. to £4 55.; for a very nico line of . 18-months steers, with a bit of colour, £3 10s. and ,£3.175. 6d. was obtained for a ■ well-giown pon of Shorthorns; fat cows, £5 85.,6 d. to £5 16s.'; forward stores,. £4 4s. to £4 18s. 6d.; bulls, £2 4s. to £3 Is.; springing heifers, £4 50. to £5 12s. 6d.
