WEEK-END COMPETITIONS. Week-end riHo matches, after a brief interregnum occasioned by tho advent of tho festivo season, were resumed on Saturday afternoon at Trentham. KARORI RIFLE CLUB. The Karori Club opened its second series with' a ten-shot match at 3(10 and 600 yards. Trophies for (he series have beau donated by Messrs. L. Blundell, On-en Daly, W. J. Bltuidoll, W. JU(ld, and 11. Coker. Tho shooting was not up to tho usual standard of the club, Tho highest score (89) was put on by. Rifleman J. C. Loir, who has been shooting' most steadily since the commencement of the season. Rifleman Faulknor, whose shooting recently ha 9 been the subject of considerable interest, onoe more distinguished himself by putting up a "possible" at 300 yards. This is Faulkner's second "possible" this season. His lead in the club's aggregate is still maintained by a margin of 10 points from President H. Marshall.
