Carnations this year are better than have previously been seen in Now Zealand. There;will be somo exceptionally good ones in the competition. In ladies' decornted tables unusual interest is being taken, owing to Miss Joseph presenting nn additional priEe of tiro guineas, which will be awarded by Miss Murray to what she considers the best table,. independent from tho public ballot. In this way each table will have a chance of winning four guineas in prizes. In.the evening the Orpheus Quartet will give a promenade concert in conjunction with tho show. Lady Liverpool will open •the show at 3 p.m.
