Qillen he conducted;, an ; ethnological expedition across Australia tc the Gulf of Carpentaria in 1902, and is joint author,, with Mr. Gillon.-of "The Native Tribes of Central Australia." He was decorated a C.M.G. in: 1904,, in recognition of his services ,to scientifio.educatipn and his contributions to the geography and anthropology of .Central Australia.
