THE BURGLARY CHARGES. At the Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. Gcorgo Waters, James O'Neill, . Seddon Reid, William Henry Eades, and Walter Krausch, who appeared on" remand re-, specting various charges of breaking and entering, jrere furthor reminded till December 31. William Spindler, who appeared on remand charged with having .received stolen property, was further remanded till December 31. Thomas Hidout appeared on remand respecting a charge of having received from Walter Krausch ,£G worth of-tobacco-be-longing to Andrew Begg, which lie knew jiad been stolen. On the application of Sub-Inspector Sheehnn the charge was withdrawn, 'flic sub-inspector said that it had been found that at the time of Jus receiving the goods Ridout was under the influence of liquor' and not aware that he was taking something which had been stolen. However, he added, tho circumstances were suspicious and warranted tho arrest. OTHER CASES; For insobriety, Ada Edwards was fined 10s., Mary Louisa Scott 55., William Bernard Corlies 10s., Graham Higgins 10s., and John M'Denuott 10s. — Robert Johnson Cuvwen, second officer of tho brigantino Rachel Cohen, was fined JCI for having absented himself from tho vessel without lcii^e.
