Line'B chartered steamer Buteshire • continued her journey from tope Town to Wellington on December 23. The' vessel, which is en route from New York, is due here about February. 17. The officers of tho Moeraki, which Arrived at Wellington from Sydney yesterday, reported sighting H.M.O.S, Iris at 11 a.m. on Monda.y. . The Iris was then engaged in cable-repairing work. It is announced that tho Union Company's chartered steamer Myra Fell is to make ono. more trip between Newcastle and Auckland. It is drifting further south all the time, and will probably . find its way to the Chatham*} eventually. At present it constitutes rather a danger to navigation.
