ADDINQTOS MARKET. (By Telesrn.ph.—Press Association.) - Glirlstchurch, December 23. The Addington Jive stock market was held two' days earlier on account of Christmas. There was a small entry of all class-is of stock. The entry of fat lambs was much reduced, the number being approximately 900.. as against 2113 last week. The sate was a butchere' tale pure and simple. The demand was good, and all lota were quitted at good prices without any hesitation. The greater proportion of lambs wore well finished, but a few pens were inferior. The range of prices for prime lambs was from las. to 21s. 6d. Lighter sorts ranged from 16s. Sd. to 17s. 9d. .' The yarding of store sheep was a very small one, between 7CO and 800 representing the tot?.l penned. With the exception of a pen of ewes with lambs, the whole of.the entry consisted of shorn two-tooth wethers. Despite the small attendance of buyers there was a Rood demand at prices on a level with those ruling the week earlier, but even at these rate 3 ono or two lines were withdrawn, values apparently not reaching owners' expectations. Aired ewes with lambs (the former being in wool) realised Ife 3d. (all' counted). A lino of very forward two-tooth wethers made 17s. 7d.; small lots, 15b. Bd., and average lines 15e.c,9i1. to 15s. lOd. The principal F.ilos were' wethers, 115 t.wo-tooth at I7a. 7d„ IdO two-tooth at Us. Ed., 139 two-tooth at 15s. 10d., 100 two-tooth at 15s. 9d.; ewaa and lambs (all counted), 49 (ased woolly ewes), at lis. 3d.

Tlio. yarding of fat- sheep was a, comparatively email one, and the demand, although mainly limited to butchers, was keen, values all round being on. a, par with those ruling a week earlier. The sheep were of a uniformly good class, well finished linos predominating, and some excellent merinos being noticeablii for finish, The following .was the. range o[ prices:— Prime wethers, 19i3. 6d. to 245. 3d.; lighter, 17s. to 195.; merinos, .14s, 2d. to 15«. 6d.; prime ewes, 17s. 6d. to 21s. 6d.; others, 10s. Id. to 175.; woolly owes, to 23b. lid.; hoggets, 16b. Cd. Ono hundred and seventeen head of fat cattlo were yarded, as against 225, the previous week, and 247 on December 11. Although tho yarding was small, the quality was rather above the average- of recent sales, and although there was no quotable change in prices the market wna markedly firmer. Steers realised £9 17s. 6d. to £11; extra, to £15 155.; heifers, £7 to £10 17s. 6d.; and oows. £7 ss. to £9 Ids. Tho ruling price of beef was 265. to 3<s. per IMUb. There was an average yarding of fat calves and an unchanged demand, representative prices ranging from Bs. "to 51b., according to size and quality. There was a very small. yarding of store cattle, several classes being unrepresented. Poor cattle formed the larger part of the yarding and the demand was weaker than at recent' sales. Yearlings made £2 125.. iifteon to cightoen-montha sorts, £3 14s. to £3 15s.;' two-yoar heifers, £4 3a. to £4 55.; three-year heifers, £4 3s. to £4 55.; threeyear heifers, £6 6s. (extra, good); and cows, £3 to £o 2s. Tho yardin? of dairy cows was limited to about 20 head, some being of nice quality. As usual, competition was free, and prices ranged from £4 to £11 55.; extra, to £12 10s. ■ ■ Only a small number of pigs canio forward, and in fats prices wore unohnnprod from previous week. Choppers realised 70s. to 9te., and baconers, of which only three pens wore offered, 473. to 535. 6d., or equal to 43d. per lb. HoaJvy porkers brought 41s. to 455.. and lighter sorts 355. to 405.. equivalent to sgd. per lb. Stores were limited to about 30 hood, but there were no buyers, and sales wore difficult to effect, price* ranging from 15s. to 20s.
