The visiting Australian swimmers, Messrs. Solomons, Ilay, and Riddington, together with some 70 or 80 Wellington foil;, were entertained last evening at tho suburban residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Blair, "BlairmDnt," Karaka Bay. The major portion.'of tho evening was given up to dancing. Chinese lanterns . gavo much effect to a gay scene, and Mr. Blair's laboratory was transformed into an effective supper-room. _ Tho ferry si earner Karaka was requisitioned for tho occasion, leaving tho city wharf at 7.30 p.m., nnd returning again at midnight. The guests wore received by Mr. and Mrs. Blair. One hundred per cent, success was attained by the 3$ h.y. Bradbury Motor Cycle in a recent 21 hours' trial between Birmingham and Carlisle. It was tho only single-cylinder machine With sidecar to cdmpleto the trip. The famous Sturnicy-Archer 3-speed and free-engine pear is* fitted to Bradbury Motor Cycles. Full details obtainable from E.
