FRACTIOUS FIREMEN. COUNSEL RECEIVES A BLACK EYE, POLICEMEN KNOCKED OUT. B? Telegraph—Press Association—OouyrieM Adelaide, December 20. The police were roughly handled by arresting firemen from the steamer Clan Alpine. When charged at the Court two of the firemen fiercely attacked the captain of the vessel. A general meleo on the floor of the Court ensued, in which counsel appearing got mixed, a solicitor receiving a black eye. Some of tho police were knocked out. .Two of the firemen were heavily sentenced, and tho other 3 ordered to the colls pending the departure of the steamer for New Zealand.
