Continuing his evidence before tho Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to inquire into tho nature of the Marconi wireless- contract with the British Post Office, Sir Henry Norman stated that tho Postmaster-General hnd already acquired every right from Marconi that was need! ed. Tho new agreement contracted him out of benefits conferred by an Act of Parliament. Ha urged delay for a few months with a view to consulting independent experts to ensure the best system being obtained. The continuous wavo system, ho considered, would ultimately supersede the spark 6ystem. The Poulseu and Goldschmidt systems were much simpler than Marconi's, and less liable to jamming. Several other apparently improved systems were likely shortly to be practically tested. Tho chairman read Sir George Reid's letter, stating that the Commonwealth system had been.in communication with Singapore by the spark principlo. The committee adjourned until January 1-.
