RUN DOWN BY TAXI-CAB.
About 4.40 p.m. yesterday a taxi-cab bound Muth endeavoured to' pass, between tramcar fie and the Club HoTel footpath, on Lanibtoh Quay, and in doingi so knocked down an elderly pedestrian, Mr. M'Leod, of Tinakori Road. After being dragged from underneath the taxi by the tram conductor andmotorman, Mr. M'Leod was assisted to the side of the street, and appeared to have suffered nothiiig more than a violent shaking and shock.' The taxi-cab, which had tvro passengers, subsequently proceeded on its way. and. overtook anil passed tramcav 66 at Kellnirno; Avenue. ,»
