A CASE IN COURT. (By Tclefrraph.~Spcc.ial Correspondent.) Masterton, December 19. The case of Sister Mackay, formerly of the' Masterton staff, which lias been ' before the public for some time, culminated in Magistrate's Court proceedings to-day, Tyhen Sister Mackay sued the AVairarapa Hospital Board for J!2O for alleged breach of contract. Pininti/f alleged that she'had tendered •her. resignation frqm ' the hospital' staff on the explicit understanding, that she should receive a month's pay in lieu of notice, a month's holiday pay, gad testimonial. The, defendant board paid a month's salary into Court, bat denied liability on account of holiday leave. ..After a lengthy hearing, Mr. licid, 5.31., gavo .judgment for .the. amount paid into Court, and allowed plaintiff £3 ! for holiday, pay. Costs were given against the board.
