After a. debtor had been examined by counsel in the Magistrate's Court as to his financial position, the lawyer asked that an order tor payment of the debt should be made against the man. "This matter," the lawyer remarked to the Court, "haa been adjourned time after tiine." Dr. M'Arthur, S.M.: "Jes. and who pays for it P This poor simpleton here. He pays, .pays, pays all the time, and does not get a ha porth out of the adjournments." "That is what I want to stop," continued his "Worship, "and I am,sorry I didn't notice it before."
