MR. JOSEPH PULITZER'S NEWSPAPERS.
Tho valuation of the estate of tho lato Mr. Joseph Pulitzer, tho New York newspaper proprietor, fixes tho value approximately at .£4,000,000, some less than had been anticipated. Beforo finally fixing tho value of the estate the appraisers aro waiting for further information regarding the profits of the "New York World" (morning mid evening), and the "St. Louis Post-Dis-patch" newspapers owned by Mr. Pulitzer. The turnover of these properties Inst year was the largest in their history, but it is claimed that owing to increased expenditure on printing and paper tho profits were less.
Tho value of tho Pulitzer newspapers is stated to form only a third of the total value of tho estimate, which consists for tho most part of stocks and bonds.
