TO THE NAVY.LEAGUE. ' Seemingly the Wellington branch of tho Navy League has subscribers alt over tho North Island. Tho following letter .has just been' received by Mr, Cecil Palmer from Mr. John Ayris,; at Matamata, Auckland:—"l beg to sand you Cs.—s<. from E. Harding and Is. from myself. It is with much regret that I cannot afford more. Am just on seventy years of age, and am only in receipt of Iss. weekly, and I want "to savo enough to bury mo, and that is all I want. My heart and soul is in vour work." It might bo added that Mr. Ayris hag enrolled several members in his district. Ho was formerly in servico on Lord Charles Bcrcsford's estate ': in England. His moral support of the league is highly valuod by the local hon. secretary.
