THE MESSIAH CONCERT.
SPECULA-TING IN TICKETS. Sir—Tho committeo of the Royal Wellington Choral Society learns with much regret.that some speculator has been offering tickets at a premium to the public for tho performance of "The Messiah" on Friday noxt. My committee sets itsslf emphatically against any such speculation being resorted to, and its earnest desire is to protect the public from tho speculator. Tho public is therefore asked to refuse to pay a premium on any tickets in connection with the performance.of "The Messiah." In fixing tho reserved seats at ss. and is, the management's object is to give tho general public an opportunity of hearing Madamo Kirkby Lunn and Sir. Andrew Black in oratorio at the lowest possible prices commensurate with the heavy expenses.—l am, etc., WILLIAM E. CALDOW, Hon. Secretary, R.W.C.S.
