9 (From Our Own Correspondent.) Mastcrton, December It. A. lengthy sitting of tho Mastcrton Trust Lands Trustees was held last ovoning, when Mr. 11. C. Robinson moved a series of resolutions dealing with the establishment of a High School. After considerable discussion, the wholo of tho resolutions were negatived. A further resolution by Mr. Robinson, that tho trustees resign in a body, failed to find a seconder. As a result of an entertainment given by the pupils of tho Lansdowno School this week, a sum of .£27 has been provided for a fund to assist school spoils and tho establislunent of a library. The usual Christmas exodus is beginning, and many families are leaving for a respite at tho seaside and at various camping grounds. So great has boon the rush of wool during tho last few days that a difficulty, has bean experienced in securing storage accommodation at Wellington. The Ouaki Rifle Club held its first field dav of the season on Saturday. It. .1. King and H. R.
