There was a large attendance yesterday at the matches between the British lawn tennis champions and the Queensland representatives. A heavy 6torm interfered with play shortly after its commencement. Batten played, well in the singles, but otherwise the Queensland . display ■ was poor. Parke end Lowe (Britain) beat St. John and M'Lean' (Queensland), 6—4," 6—2. Parke (Britain) beat St. John (Queensland),' 6-1, 6-1. Dixon and Beamish (Britain) beat Ratten and Exton (Queensland), 6-2, 6-4. Beamish (Britain) beat Ratten. (Queensland), B—6, 6—l.
