On Friday night the whole population, as usual, assembled in the Druids' Hall for the annual school concert. The building was packed to tho doors. The first half of the programme consisted of choruses and action-songs by the younger pupils of the school, while the more advanced scholars provided the second part of tho entertainment. The Junior Cadets under the command of Mr. J. J. Trainer, gave an excellent display of drill and marching. Miss Laurvig, Messrs. Birrs, Curran, Jamieson, and a new singer, Mr. Thompson, also contributed to the evening's enjoymont. Mr. Jas. Eichardson, chairman of the committee, who presided, thanked the audience for their attendance, and a special vote of thanks was accorded Mrs. Duproe, on whom the bulk of the preparation" for the concert had devolved. The concert did not finish till about 11 p.m., when a dance followed. .
