FOR THE ANTARCTIC.
DEPARTURE OF THE TERRA NOVA. (By Telegraph.-T-Prosß Association.) Christchurch, December 14. The British Antarctio expedition ship Terra Nova, left Lyttelton this morning at five o'clock for Captain Scott's base in the Antarctic. There was a small crowd on. the wharf to see the vessel and officers and crew off, and a cheer from those ashore'when "the Terra Nova cast off was heartily answered by those on the' ship. _____
