MASTERTON NOTES.
(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Mastcrton, December 12. Tho children of the Masterton District High School have subscribed .£l3 10s. towards the fund for the assistance of a six-year-old boy who recently lost both hands through a railway accident at Huntly. Successful entertainments were held tonight in connection with St. Bride's Convent and the Lansdowne School.
A team of six horses and a wagon loaded with wool went over an embankment at BidefoTd, and fell a distance of over fifty feet. By a remarkable stroke of fortune neither driver, horses, nor wagon' sustained serious injury.
