(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.} ■ Wanoanui, December 10. Soundings taken by the pilot yesterday show that the- entrance to the- harbour is now 23 feet; working depth, with a goodwide channel running straight out. The Harbour Board engineer says that the. improvement now going on is due to the making up of the mole* to high-water level, and, as this work progresses, - a further increase in depth may bo looked for.
