At a mooting of Rors .Goldfields shareholders, Mr. Davis, chairman of directors, said a telegram had been. received from the secretary in Wellington stating that the manager had telegraphed to the effect that everything was working satisfactorily. Mr.-Davis said the directors had decided to call tho shareholders together, and acquaint them with the present position of the mine. They had £30CO in hand, which was bslng held in reserve to meet tho cost of the Diesel engine being obtained for the purpose of supplying additional power. The workings in every detail were satisfactory, the pumping out of the mine was being proceeded with, and with an installation of permanent pumps the water difficulty was being disposed of. Tho engineer had reported that the. plant was entirely up to expectations. At present they could do no. more than carry on development work, owing to the delay in . the arrival of tie Diesel engine. ■ He had ab-. solute faith in the property turning out right.
