SWIMMING.
NEW CLUB AT.HASTINGS. (liy Telegraph.—Special Oorrcsoondent.) Hastings, December 9. The former swimming clubs of Hastings having become practically defunct a new ono was formed last week,. and is meeting-■ivith considerable success. Already otfer sixty members have been enrolled. The new club, which is designated the Hastings Amateur Swimming and Life-Saving Club, will assist in the carnival, which is to be held by the Hawke's Bay Centre: this week, and at which the Australians —Solomons, Hay, and Riddiug•ton—will be the chief attraction.
