■ ♦ NOTES & SCORES. TRENTHAM AND ELSEWHERE. Tho various rifle clubs continued their contests last Saturday at Trentham and elsewhere in fine weather. On the whole Hie conditions were favourable, although tho wind was rather changeable. KARORI RIFLE CLUB, At Trentham on Saturday, in bright, warm weather, with a brisk, changing ! wind, varying from nine degrees lett to "dead in," tne Karori Ride Club carried out teams' shooting. All the club's juniors were carefully coached by the captains of the respective teams, and some very gratifying results were obtained. The competition was very keen, and resulted in a very closo finish, DeputyPresident Judd's team just getting homo by two points from Rifleman J. Burns's team. Only twenty points separated tho whole six teams. Rifleman F. W. Ching, who is in splendid form just now, topped the list again, with a well-made 93. Ho I was closely followed by President H. Marshall and Rifleman E. Coady, each with 92. In a sweepstako held in conjunction with the match, the prizes were won by the above-mentioned. Next Saturday tho club's No. 1 and 2 teams of ten men will meet the Suburbs Club in the annual match at Miramar. Tho No. 3 team of ten will meet tho "A" Squadron, 6th Mounted Rifles, at Trentham. T. Colt-man, W. F. Hornig, and the club. At the invitation of the president of the club several members of the ■ newly-formed rifle club (Navals) visited the range for a little practice. The weathe.r on Saturday was delightful. Several fair scores were made at 800 yards. C. Milroy, who failed to find the target at 700 yards, placed 48 to his credit at 800 yards. J. H. Ross and T.
