MEMORIAL TO FATHER VENNING. The chair was occupied by Mr. J Calln?liaa, tho meeting having been convened' bv the laity, hut several members of the clergy were present. The report brought down was in favour of the establishment of a central primary school for girls in Wellington, a matter in which the late Father Venning hod always taken a keen interest.' ; This was approved by the meeting, with the proviso that the money which would be donated or collected should be spent on the erection of tho building. The section, which has not yet been scoured; would, it was understood, bo provided by tho Cntholic Education Board, the newlyformed administrative body in. WellingThc committee, which was set up pro tern at tho first meeting held yesterday week, wns appointed a permanent committee with power to »dd to its number.
