The heavy rainfall at Reikorangi was responsible for much damage, and a portion of Messrs. Odlin Bros.' tramway was [ washed away, and it will be several weeks i before tho firm will be ablo to carry on ■ operations. Tho approach to a small 1 bridge on the Hutt County road was washed out, causing inconvenience to dairy ! farmers in that locality. November was an exceptionally wet-, month at Reikorangi, the total rainfall reaching 10.51 inches. Rain Ml on 24 '- days, (he heaviest full being on November ; 2G, when 2.42 inches were recorded.
