In view of, the rough weather conditions it was not anticipated that there would be a very good display of flowers, but the collection which was brought to the hall for competition and exhibition showed that ; the district' had produced some exceedingly bea'utiiul blooms after all. The magnificence anu bulk of the decorative entries quite eclipsed anything previously seen in tho show. . Under the charge of Messrs. J.. Grant and O. A. Banner (agricultural , experts of the Wanganui Education Board) the seventeen boys in camp on Mr'. E. Short's Almadale Estate, on the Oroua River, at Cheltenham, are doing very useTul farm work. ■ ■ ' ,
