By a large majority the congregation of Oxford University has removed tho restriction which.made it necessary for the examiners in theology to be Anglicans. It has also decided to open, the Divinity Degree to non-Anglicans. ' A cablegram dated November 23 stated that the Senate of Cambridge University, by 435 votes to 328, had agreed to throw open degrees in divinity to laymen and Nonconformist ministers.
