LICENSING HATTERS.
THE CLYDE QUAY HOTEL.
The Wellington Licensing' 'Committee held its quarterly, meeting yesterday/ Dr. M'Arthur, S.SL, presiding. ' The-following transfers were granted Foresters' Arms Hotel, from Mrs.' S. J.. W. Bird to D. Buckley; Clarendon Hotel, from H. Goodwin to Jeremiah O'Meara; Masonic Hotel, from F. Dobson to J. Sullivan ; and Shepherds' Arms Hotel, from W. H. P. : Long to M. J. Brosnan.
Application was made for a transfer of the license of the Clyde Quay Hotel from S. W. Moir to C. A. Schauer.
Mr. E.' K. Kirkcaldie appeared in support of'the application. Inspector Ellison stated that he had no objection to the transfer, but would lite to mention that there was: a case' pending in ' which card-playing in the hotel would be alleged.
The matter was adjourned till December 16 at . 2.30: p.m.
