RAILWAY TROUBLE LOOMING.

Mr. Warkden, secretary of the Railway Clerics' Union, state that the railway companies have notified the Government that unless legislation during the present session enables an increase to be made in rates, they will withdraw the concessions to the men which were gi anted during the strike, and leavo the Government to face a national railway strike. Mr. Williams, secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, in. speaking at Manchester, said the Midland Railway Company had been victimising the men concerned in the strike, and if it did not stop, the unions would be compelled to take action.
