£ His Excellency Admiral Sir • George King-Hall will be the guest of honour at a luncheon to be given by the New Zealand Club'on his return to Wellington. The Hon. \V. F. Massey, Prime Minister, arrives in Wellington this morning from Auckland. The Hon. A. L. Herdman, the Hon. W. Fraser, the Hon. W. H. Hemes, and the Hon. F. H. D. Bell are in Wellington. The Hon. James Allen is at Dunedin, and the Hon. F. M. B. Fisher, and the Hon. R. H. Ehodes are at Christchurch. The Hon. Dr. Pomare leaves Christchurch by the first express to-day for Dunedin. Mr. Justice Cooper hoe gone to Aucklend on Supremo Court business. Mr. Justice Chapman will preside at the Supreme Court sittings, which open at Wangviui tp-morrow. Mr. H. Cramond, local manager for Messrs. Qjhomas Cook and Son, is at present on a visit to Auckland. Messrs. C. Wade and P. STBride, of Melbourne, left Wellington yesterday morning for Rotorua 'and Auckland, via the Wanganui Eiver.. Mr. H. E. Le Groye,' with Mrs. Lβ Grove, will leave on a holiday visit to Sydney and Melbourne by next Friday's steamer. Mr. Charles Anderson (treasurer of the Northland District Ratepayers' Association) died on Saturday evening, after a short illness. Deceased came to Wellington eight years ago, under engagement to Messrs:. Smith and Smith, of this city, to take charge of their leadlight department. He interested himself in local affairs, being the senior trustee of the Loyal Northland Foresters' Lodge and of the Northland Methodist Church. Mr. Claude Whaite, who has been manager of the King's Theatre for West'-s and the Royal Picture Company since the place was built, has been transferred to Sydney, and is leaving Wellington by next Friday's steamer. During his tenure of office, Mr. Whaite has made many friends, who will regret to hear of his departure from Wellington. Mr. G. G. Aitken, who has severed his connection with the Masterton branch of the Union Bank of Australasia, to commence business on his own account at Christchurch, was on Saturday presented with a gold sovereign-case by the Very Rev.' Dean { 'M'Kenna, J on--behalf 0 of the Golf and Lawn Tennis Clubs.
