. The F. atid S. liner Surrey moved out into an anchorage in the stream at Wellington on Saturday. It is expected that Messrs. Cable and Co. will have completed the necessary repairs to the vessel's engines in time for her to clear for Avonmouth, via Las l'almas, at daybreak tomorrow. .The Whaigape is expected to leave Wellington for Newcastle on Wednesday of this week. Subsequently she proceeds to Port Chalmers for overhaul and survey. TJis Waihora left Pcuang on Wednesday last for Calcutta, where ehc is due early this week to load for New Zealand ports. The old British shin Wayfarer has changed hands and names rather frequently of late. This time Russians arc the buycre, having paid £6800 for the vessel. Tho Union steamer Wnirtina loads at Newcastle this week for Lyttelton, whera she will remain until after the Christmas and New Year holidays. The F. and S. liner Devon is expected to leave Newcastle this week with a cargo of coal for Lyttelton. After discharge her present charter to the Union Company terminates. Tho Shaw-Savill steamer Waiwora, is now berthed at the export wharf at Port Chalmers. She will remain thore for a few weeks before commencing Homeward loading.
