At the inquest concerning the death nt James Delay, a retired Singapore solicitor, who committed suicido at Newquay, ft watering-placo on tic Cornish cciist, following tho mysterious disappearance of Mrs. Sidney Nowill, wife of a Sheffield merchant, with whom deceased Wns en friendly terms, a Coastguardsman gave cvidenco that through a glass ho saw a lady and gentleman on Saturday last apparently quarrelling.' The husband of Mrs. Nowill stated that Delay was a friend of his. A codicil io Delay's will, dated September, 1912, left Mrs. Nowill ,£33,000. Witness knew of no reason for tho gift.
