JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.
Tho interim meeting of the Johnsonville Town Board was hold on Tuesday evening last. Those present were: Commissioners Moore (chairman), Jerusalem, Angell, and Parker.- , The board decided to undortake the work of carrying out certain improvements to private thoroughfares at the contractor's expense. Details were left in tho hands of the chairman. Tho cleric was instructed to advertise for an assistant clerk, to temporarily assist in the office. The Sen-ice Committee's recommendation to postpone tho discussion regarding the formation of a fire brigado for a further throe months was agreed to. The snmo committee expressed its regret at the slow progress made with tho houso connections, and also recommended that no internal gas connections bo made by any of the board's permanent hands. • The contract for the sanitary service of tho district was extended for another three months.
